Yu Zhengsheng Supports India Enterprises To Invest And Trade In Shanghai

Yu Zhengsheng, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the municipal Party committee, met with President Pratibha Devisingh Patil of India yesterday afternoon, welcomed President Patil's visit to Shanghai, and thanked India for giving support to Shanghai World Expo.

Yu Zhengsheng said at the meeting that after 8 years of hard work, World Expo, Shanghai, has officially opened the park since May 1st to welcome visitors from home and abroad.

The India Pavilion of Expo site shows the high-tech development and traditional culture of India. It reflects the theme of "Better City and better life" in World Expo.

Shanghai and India have made good cooperation in the fields of economy, science and technology. Many Shanghai enterprises have invested and developed in India. They have undertaken a number of construction projects, and our friends from India have given us great help.

It is hoped that the two sides will further expand their cooperation areas and welcome India entrepreneurs to invest in Shanghai and carry out economic and trade activities.
