Industrial transfer of garment manufacturing in the province

Wen Ming, assistant general manager of Zhengzhou Yalida Clothing Co., Ltd., said that the company's production capacity has reached more than 3 million pieces per year. Henan's clothing industry ranks higher in the country. Li Gang, president of Henan Garment Industry Association, said in an interview with Henan Video reporter Dahe Daily that in 2021, there will be about 167000 companies, factories, institutions and businesses engaged in garment production, design and trade in Henan Province, with about 4.8 million employees, an annual output of 3.5 billion pieces of various garments, and an annual sales of 330 billion yuan, ranking sixth in China.

China's major garment provinces and powerful provinces are basically in the eastern coastal areas, concentrated in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. "Compared with the developed coastal areas, there is still a big gap in Henan's clothing industry." Li Gang said that Henan's clothing industry should give full play to its own advantages in undertaking industrial transfer from the eastern coastal areas.

Ten departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission, jointly issued the Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Orderly Transfer of Manufacturing Industry, which proposed to promote the domestic gradient transfer of industries. Zhao Zhenyu, general manager of Zhengzhou Ruoyu Clothing, said that talent is the core factor restricting the development of enterprises at present. If Zhengzhou can not provide a better platform for high-end talents in the clothing industry, high-end talents are more willing to develop in developed coastal areas. Clothing industry is a typical labor-intensive manufacturing industry. Li Gang said that Henan should increase its efforts to undertake the transfer of the clothing industry, and actively carry out industry chain oriented investment attraction and cluster oriented investment attraction.
