The agreement came into effect for some time in January 1, 2012, but the discussion on the impact of the agreement is in the ascendant.

According to the relevant contents of the US Korea agreement, tariffs on most import and export commodities between the United States and South Korea will be reduced or revoked within 5 years, and other trade barriers will be abolished accordingly.

Japan: the Japanese economic community is concerned about the agreement. After the entry into force of the agreement, Japan's television and motor vehicles and other commodities

It will be reduced, causing Japan's exports to shrink further.

If Japan does not push forward trade liberalization, strong Korean enterprises will further occupy the largest market in the United States, and the gap between Japan and South Korea will be even more disparate.

According to Japan's Ministry of economy and industry, due to the increase in exports of Korean products to the United States, by 2020, Japanese enterprises will reduce exports to the United States in the fields of automobiles, motors, electronics and machinery by 1 trillion and 500 billion yen, while the relevant domestic production value will be reduced by 3 trillion and 700 billion yen.

Taiwan, China: the research report commissioned by the Ministry of economic affairs of Taiwan pointed out that the biggest impact of the US Korea Free Trade Agreement on the export industry of Taiwan is mainly traditional industries, including textiles, clothing, bicycles, plastics, rubber shoes, etc., among which only 6 categories of products, including the 5 major categories of textiles, clothing and shoes, are exported to the United States, and the amount of US exports will be reduced by about 840 million US dollars, accounting for 6.1% of the total output value of the textile industry in 2006. Taiwan will also reduce the number of employed persons by 10 thousand or more.

Thailand: the US and South Korea's FTA is not expected to have a big impact on Thailand, but some industries in Thailand, such as the field of clothing and textiles, will be affected.
