The Committee learned that the results of the comparative test of sportswear jointly issued by 22 consumer rights protection units in Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai showed that although the overall quality of sportswear in China was better, it was also found that some of the four sportswear samples of the four brands of CONVERSE, Columbia and LOTTO failed to meet the standards.

All of them are purchased by the Shenzhen Municipal Council staff from the market. They basically cover the common brands and well-known brands on the market, and have strong representativeness.
The sample is entrusted to the Shenzhen Metrology quality inspection and Research Institute, according to the national mandatory standards and the relevant product implementation standards, to decompose carcinogenic aromatic amines.

Formaldehyde, pH, fiber content, color fastness, extractable heavy metals, phenol compounds, o-benzoic acid two carboxylic acid esters, and other indicators were tested.
The results showed that the quality of the 60 samples was good, and no formaldehyde and decomposable aromatic amine dyes were found to be harmful to consumers' health.
Among them, 56 samples were passed all the items tested. The main problems of the 4 samples that were not tested were concentrated on pH value and color fastness. They were: the GS112518 4.0-9.0, which was named "Nanjing three" wear clothing (trademark: Northland, model / item No. GS112518), which was produced by the border town sporting goods Co., Ltd., the standard required pH value of 4.0-9.0, the measured outer jacket fabric pH value was 9.4; the hats that were rated as the hooded zipper Jersey (trademark: CONVERSE, model / number C311W206123) produced by the Dao Er Fen Knitting Co., Ltd., the standard required pH value of 4.0-9.0, and the measured pH value was 9.4.
The pH values of the two products exceed the standard of pH value for the basic safety technical specification of national textile products (GB18401-2010).
It is understood that pH value refers to the size of water extraction acidity and alkalinity on textile products, and is the safety index of textiles. The larger the pH value is, the smaller the acid value is. The neutral pH value is 7.5. The pH value of ordinary textiles is good at neutral to weak acid.
If the pH value exceeds the standard, it can easily cause skin itch and other inflammation.
The reporter referred to the "basic safety technical specification for National Textiles (GB18401-2010)", which pointed out that the pH value of class a products (infant clothing) is 4 to 7.5, and the pH value of B products (clothing directly to the skin) is 4 to 8.5, and the pH value of C products (clothing with non direct contact with skin) is 4 to 9.
In addition, the trousers (trademark: Columbia, type / number PM8843) are known as Jian Bang garments (Huizhou) Co. Ltd., the standard requires wet resistance 2-3 grade (dark color), and the measured result is 2 grade (dark color).
It is known as Foshan City Shun Shun Knitting Co., Ltd. production of the Lok Road Club Series / head clothing (trademark: LOTTO, model / number EWDF095-3
Qualified products), the standard requires more than 3 grade resistance to sweat stain, and the measured result is 2-3 grade alkali resistant cotton.
These two products are all dyed fastness which does not meet the standard requirements. The dye fastness of dye itself is not toxic, but dyes should be permanently fixed on the fabric, otherwise the pfer to human skin may cause harm to the human body.
When the clothes with poor color fastness are exposed to water, sweat or saliva, the pigments are easy to fall off, fade, and affect the appearance, and dye molecules and heavy metal ions in the pigment may be absorbed by the skin and cause harm to health.
The Consumer Council of Shenzhen stressed that this comparative experiment is the 22 member unit of the urban consumer rights forum to enhance the social supervision and consumption of sportswear, and initiate the consumption according to the statutory functions granted by the consumer law. The comparison test results are only responsible for the test samples, and do not represent the quality of other brands and batches of the brand.
