Cotton: the purchase and processing of seed cotton will be basically completed in 2020 / 21, and lint sales will be faster than in previous years. According to the data of the national cotton market monitoring system, as of April 2, the national lint sales rate was 85.1%, up 19 percentage points year-on-year. This month, the national cotton planting area, yield and consumption remained unchanged last month. From September 2020 to February 2021, China imported 1.66 million tons of cotton, an increase of 100.7% over the same period of last year. Taking into account the stable release of textile and clothing demand driven by the economic growth and the large difference between domestic and foreign cotton prices, imports were increased by 200000 tons to 2.4 million tons, and the final inventory increased to 7.54 million tons.
