Light Industry And Textile Industry Are Listed As Key Industries In Pilot Digital Transformation Of Small And Medium-Sized Enterprises

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the Notice on the Pilot Work of Small and Medium sized Enterprises in Digital Transformation Cities (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), specifying that from 2023 to 2025, it is planned to organize the pilot work of small and medium-sized enterprises in digital transformation cities in three batches. Among them, 16 key industries of digital transformation pilot for SMEs are involved in general equipment manufacturing, light industry and textile industry, chemical fiber manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing.

The Notice pointed out that through carrying out pilot projects, we should explore ways, market mechanisms and typical models to form digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, sort out a number of digital transformation industry segments, create a number of digital transformation "beacon" enterprises, and cultivate a number of high-quality digital service providers, Develop and integrate a number of digital solutions and products that are "small, fast, light and accurate" (miniaturization, speediness, lightweight and precision), guide and promote the majority of SMEs to accelerate digital transformation, comprehensively improve the digital level of SMEs, and promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy through demonstration driven, sample based, replication and promotion.

The Notice clearly states that about 30 cities will be selected to carry out pilot work in 2023, and the pilot scope will be further expanded in the following years according to the implementation. All pilot cities should take SMEs in key areas of manufacturing industry as the key direction of digital transformation pilot, and focus on SMEs in general and special equipment manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, transportation equipment manufacturing, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, computer and communication electronics and other industries.
